Bringing Bouquets to Ronald McDonald House Miami

Weekend of August 8th — Ronald McDonald House Charities, Miami

The weekend of August 8th, we brought flowers to the Ronald McDonald House in Miami. If you haven't heard of it, the Ronald McDonald House gives families a place to stay when their child is in the hospital for a long time. Instead of driving back and forth or sleeping in waiting rooms, parents and siblings can stay close by, together, for as long as their child needs care.

There were 31 families staying there that weekend, so we made 31 bouquets, one for every family. We put them together from flowers rescued from Miami's flower importers, flowers that were headed for the trash just a few days earlier because they were too old to ship across the country. They still looked amazing.
